Your Usage
How to Calculate your Daily Water Use:

-
Determine quarterly usage (from water bill)
2. Convert ft³ to gallons by multiplying by 7.48
3. Divide by the number of days in a quarter (approx. 90)
4. Divide by the number of household members
Usage Calculation Example
The following is an example of a water bill for a family of five:
1. 3600 ft³ is used in this quarter
2. 3600 x 7.48 =
26,928 gallons
(Converting feet to gallons)
3. 26,928 gallons ÷ 90 days =
299 gal/day
(Dividing by number of days in a quarter)
4. 299 gal/day ÷ 5 =
60 gal/day/person
(Dividing by number of household members)
